We are seeking a talented, ambitious Website Designer & Front-End Developer to join our team! This role is responsible for leading the design and user experience of client websites, from initial planning through mockups and prototyping. While UX and design are the primary focus, front-end development skills—particularly in WordPress and Elementor—are essential, as emerging technologies increasingly enable development capabilities. Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and front-end development of website projects from initial strategy through execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with client goals and Clix’s standards.
- Design and prototype engaging, user-centered website interfaces, including high-fidelity mock-ups and wireframes, using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- Apply UX best practices and design theory to optimize user experience, conversion rate, and long-term scalability.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to plan and execute website designs or redesigns, acting as a consultant to ensure UX best practices, scalability, and alignment with business goals.
- Conduct ongoing UX, CRO, and design system audits to ensure site usability, performance, consistency, and scalability.
- Integrate SEO and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles into the design process to enhance user engagement and marketing performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including account management, SEO, and development, to align on project goals and technical requirements.
- Contribute to ongoing digital marketing campaigns by supporting technical SEO optimizations, implementing ongoing CRO initiatives, and modernizing outdated website designs to meet modern standards.
- Stay informed on UX, web design, digital marketing, and AI advancements, proactively integrating emerging technologies and techniques to enhance design workflows and project outcomes.
- Complete a minimum of 5 hours of professional development monthly, focusing on UX and design innovation.
- Perform additional relevant tasks and projects as assigned to support Clix’s evolving digital design and development goals.
Ideal Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design, OR equivalent work experience
- 3-5+ years of relevant website design and frontend development experience, especially in WordPress
- Comprehensive knowledge of Figma (required) and Adobe’s Creative Suite (preferred)
- WordPress development experience and familiarity required (e.g. familiarity with WordPress management, HTML, CSS, and PHP)
- Experience designing and developing engaging website experiences that respond to common devices (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Experience with other content management systems (e.g. Drupal) and web-based languages (e.g. Javascript) preferred but not required
- Familiarity with SEO/web analytics techniques is required
- Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools is preferred
