We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Director who will leverage our client’s global network and customized approach to create custom packaging solutions. This role will build the focus on the East Coast market by harnessing current relationships to showcase 360 solutions and our client’s customized approach to create unique packaging concepts while building a strategic pipeline of potential beauty clients within the East Coast working with the Global team.
- Leverage existing relationships to align Global Beauty company expertise with gaps/opportunities within indie brands to create a collaborative partnership and convert opportunities into purchase orders with the goal to increase business by 20% within the first year.
- Develop a strategic pipeline of potential beauty clients within the East Coast and work with the Global team to customize product offerings to identify unique opportunities to develop programs.
- Continue to identify beauty brands to support custom/stock packaging projects across color cosmetic, skincare, and hair care categories.
- Cultivate relationships with key accounts and new prospects through increased call frequency, follow up, and personal commitment to understanding their goals to create a mutually beneficial partnership.
- Partner with the innovation team to identify white space opportunities for beauty brands in order to customize presentations to bring value to each client and their unique brand portfolio.
- Partner with the innovation team to evaluate product briefs to collaborate on product concept, features, and benefits to leverage innovative technology and speed to market options to convert the product concept into a successful program.
- Consistently lead presentations for beauty brands presenting the latest trends, new technology and present their unique point of difference to create business partnerships.
- Continuously follow up and manage accounts to become the “go-to” for any product development needs and proactively develop value with each account.
- Create opportunities to take clients to lunch, happy hour and/or dinners to expand the business relationships.
- Expand brand relationships across all levels within the company (C-level, Marketing, Product Development and Purchasing/Sourcing) to expand opportunities within each account.
- Collaborate with the Global team on pricing, negotiation of terms, and forecasting and work with the Executive team on unique terms for new clients to remain competitive.
Qualifications:
- 10 plus years of Sales/b2b experience focused on packaging services within the beauty industry.
- Prior experience partnering with a Global beauty company and collaborating on projects from concept to launch.
- Proven track record of developing new business and increasing sale revenue YOY.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record of establishing business partnerships to deliver outstanding service.
- Self-starter disciplined and proactive to achieve results.
- Ability to partner with beauty brands and identify opportunities based on their unique product portfolio.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Highly organized and detailed to support product concept projects and turnaround results.
