The Technical Support Engineer (TSE) will operate within the assigned territory to support the technical needs of the Sales Department. The ideal candidate will offer design support, offer solutions and make recommendations using HAWE Solutions. We are seeking candidates with a diverse background having both application knowledge and sales experience in the assigned sales territory. The ideal candidate must have a supportive spirit, be results oriented, self-motivated and have a strong ability to problem solve. Territory: US - Central Region
Work location: Remote; Home Office
Travel: 30-50% per month in Region
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Reviewing customer RFQ and inquiries from within area of responsibility – HAWE US (Central)
- Design solutions / make technical suggestions using HAWE solutions
- Provide training and technical support to Direct OEMs in US (Central)
- Provide training and technical support to Authorized Distributors in US (Central)
- Manage and coordinate all technical projects within HAWE US (Central)
- Providing schematics, general arrangement, and 3D drawings
- Coordinating technical information between HAWE SE and US
- General technical troubleshooting and post-sale technical support.
Job Requirements - A qualified candidate must:
- Read and understand hydraulic circuitry
- Leverage company information and technology to optimize potential
- Plan, organize, and manage the project activities with region
- Communicate successfully in verbal and written formats
- Network effectively to convey technical data
- Possess effective problem solving and organizational skills
- Utilize contact management software to manage project information
Minimum Requirements
- Two-year Technical Degree and Fluid Power certification or ability to obtain certification within 1 year
- Legal authorization to work in U.S. without company sponsorship
- Driver’s License in good standing
- Ability to travel frequently by airplane to meet with customers and partners
Preferred Background and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sales or related field from an accredited institution
- Experience in Mobile Hydraulics
- Prior successful application/engineering experience in the identified territory
