We have a fantastic opportunity for a Vice President of product Marketing to join our team.
The VP of Product Marketing will lead the GTM strategy through market insights, company and product messaging and compelling use cases and differentiators. They will partner with the Field and Product organisations to align on product and business growth priorities and work cross functionally to implement those through messaging, sales plays, enablement and marketing campaigns.
The VP of Product Marketing will collaborate closely with the VP of Technical Product Marketing, who will focus on product evangelism, analyst relations, content development, and field enablement initiatives.
The VP of Product Marketing will also spearhead efforts to continually develop and refine the GTM strategy, ensuring market and customer insights are used to refine the GTM strategy and product relevance in the markets we serve.
What you will be doingOwn the creation, implementation, and continual improvement of Matillion’s efforts to clearly articulate the company's offer, its business value, how it addresses customer pain points, and how it is unique and differentiated from competing offers through top-quality marketing contentEnsure Matillion maintains a continual connection to customers and prospects through interviews, focus groups, and interaction with the press/analyst communityOrchestrate specific persona and use case-related Sales Plays that drive effective integrated go-to-market execution across all demand and revenue levers through sales, marketing, services/success, and partnersCreate and maintain awareness of competing offers in the market and how Matillion comparesBuild, mentor, and lead a team of world-class product marketers, fostering a culture of results orientation, quality, and high velocity within a team that people love to work withLive the Matillion values by reflecting these values through demonstrating positive behaviors
What we are looking forExperienced Product Marketing leader with a proven track record of building and developing product marketing teams in a cloud environment, demonstrating exemplary focus on results, culture, and values. This leader has delivered results that team members have loved working with and would choose to work with againPossesses deep domain knowledge of the Data & Analytics market or an adjacent Enterprise infrastructure category, with preferred experience leading product marketing efforts for data integration productsA strategic commercial and technical thinker who enjoys translating and aligning needs between the external market, product, and field teams to build programs and execute strategies that accelerate business growthDemonstrates unparalleled ability to perform as an individual contributor when needed, capable of undertaking tasks including market sizing, market segmentation, customer persona definition, messaging/positioning development, competitive positioning, pricing, packaging, product launches, and market researchStrong output orientation with the ability to create high-quality, customer-facing content, including web content, presentation materials, solution briefs, and sales enablement collateralExperience working with large vendor ecosystems such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, or SnowflakeMBA preferred. Pragmatic Marketing or Product Marketing Alliance certification is a plusExperience in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of change
At Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level, and country. This exempt role’s estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is $220,000 - $275,000. This role is eligible for participation in our corporate bonus plan. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
