The position
The EYS Learning Facilitator "Técnico en Educación Parvularia), in addition to providing essential care and welfare support, acts as an active pedagogical partner who co-leads teaching and learning processes alongside the Lead Teacher. Their work focuses on fostering children's autonomy, as well as developing their first habits, behaviors, skills, and abilities. Furthermore, they ensure continuous supervision to guarantee a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment, always striving for high-quality comprehensive education that enables students to transition successfully to the following educational levels.

Qualifications and Experience
- Professional Degree as a Higher-Level Technical Degree in Early Childhood Education (Técnico en Educación Parvularia de Nivel Superior granted by an accredited CFT or IP) or a Mid-Level Technical Degree from a Technical-Professional High School.
- High proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Previous experience working in multicultural school environments (preferred).
- Proven experience and suitability in managing, containing, and building a close, nurturing connection with early childhood students.
Skills, Attitudes, and Dispositions
- Proficient IT skills (management of technologies applied to education/administration).
- Ability and willingness to spend extended periods outdoors under various weather conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and effective communication skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Pedagogical Support in the Classroom
- Co-facilitation of Learning: Under the guidance of the Lead Teacher, assist in instruction and pedagogical mediation with students individually, in small groups, or during whole-group management.
- Active Educational Support: Support activities designed by the teaching staff, proactively prepare educational materials, organize the classroom, and collaborate closely in monitoring student progress.
- Inclusion and Diversity: Actively support children with diverse learning needs and/or special educational needs, applying inclusion and pedagogical differentiation strategies in the classroom.
- Outdoor Education: Actively participate in outdoor learning environments, utilizing nature to enhance exploration, well-being, and early childhood learning.
Supervision, Safety, and Transitions
- Continuous Supervision: Maintain constant supervision and safeguarding of children at all times and locations within the school.
- Transitions and Recess: Guide and lead student transitions across campus, and rigorously supervise them during recess, breaks, and lunchtimes.
- Safeguarding Well-being: Rigorously ensure the physical and socio-emotional safety and well-being of children both inside the classroom and on the playgrounds.
- Safe Environment: Maintain an orderly, clean, and completely safe school and classroom environment for the development of activities.
Care, Hygiene, and Welfare Support
- Hygiene Routines: Guide and assist children in their hygiene routines, fostering daily autonomy by supporting them with handwashing, teeth brushing, and toilet training consolidation if necessary.
- Snack and Rest Times: Attentively supervise snack and lunch times (fostering good table manners) and ensure a quiet, peaceful environment during nap or rest periods.
Administrative Management and Collaborative Work
- Preparation and Records: Support the teaching team in preparing pedagogical materials, clerical tasks, maintaining administrative records, monitoring attendance, and drafting required reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work cohesively and collaboratively with the other classroom assistant, the grade-level team, and the school community.
- Functional Flexibility: Assume the assistant role in any EYS classroom if circumstances require it, as well as perform other related duties requested by the leadership team under extraordinary circumstances or school needs.
