Performance Marketing Manager (Hands-on / Remote US)
We are looking for a Performance Marketing Manager who is first and foremost a doer. This is not a role for someone who delegates and reports. You will be hands-on in the platforms, building and running paid campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta, and Google while also owning the broader digital marketing strategy. If you thrive in an environment where you are both the strategist and the executor, this role is for you.
Compensation & Growth
We offer a competitive compensation package that aligns with the level of responsibility and the impact you deliver. We value performance over tenure, and we are committed to rewarding talent that drives measurable growth for the business.
What You'll Do
Paid Advertising Execution
- Build, launch, and actively manage paid ad campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and Google Ads from start to finish
- Write and test ad copy, select targeting parameters, set budgets, and monitor performance on a daily and weekly basis
- Continuously optimize campaigns through A/B testing, bid adjustments, and audience refinement to improve ROAS and CPL
Digital Strategy and Planning
- Develop and own the overall digital marketing strategy aligned with company and client growth goals
- Define channel-specific KPIs and maintain accountability for hitting them
- Manage the digital marketing budget across channels, making spend decisions based on performance data
SEO, Web, and Content
- Oversee SEO and SEM strategy to drive consistent organic and paid traffic growth
- Collaborate with content and design resources to ensure campaigns are supported by strong landing pages and on-brand creative assets
- Maintain brand consistency and messaging quality across all digital touchpoints
Analytics and Reporting
- Pull, analyze, and interpret campaign data across all platforms to identify what is working and what needs to change
- Deliver clear, actionable performance reports to leadership on a regular cadence
- Use data to make fast decisions and course-correct campaigns without waiting to be asked
Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of digital marketing specialists, including content creators, paid media coordinators, and designers, providing clear direction and performance expectations
- Set individual and team goals that align with broader marketing objectives and hold team members accountable to delivering results
- Conduct regular check-ins, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional development of direct reports
- Identify resourcing gaps and make recommendations on hiring, restructuring, or reallocating responsibilities as the team's needs evolve
- Foster a culture of ownership and accountability where team members are expected to execute, not just plan
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
- Proven, hands-on experience executing paid ad campaigns on LinkedIn, Meta, and Google Ads (not just overseeing someone else who does it)
- Strong command of Google Analytics or GA4, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Google Ads Manager
- Demonstrated ability to manage campaign budgets, optimize for performance, and report on results with real numbers
- Solid understanding of SEO and SEM principles and how they complement paid strategy
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear decisions and recommendations
- Excellent written communication skills for ad copy, reporting, and stakeholder updates
- Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of deliverables without heavy supervision
Good-to-Haves
- Experience with a CRM or marketing automation platform such as HubSpot or Mailchimp
- Familiarity with marketing attribution models and multi-touch reporting
- Basic proficiency in design tools like Canva or Adobe Suite for quick creative edits
- Google Ads or Meta Blueprint certification
- Industry experience in B2B, healthcare, staffing, or professional services
- Prior experience managing or mentoring a small marketing team or agency partner
You're a Great Fit If You...
- Get uncomfortable sitting on the sidelines and would rather be in the platform making changes than writing a brief for someone else to act on
- Can look at a campaign that is underperforming and immediately know where to start troubleshooting
- Take ownership of results, not just activity, and can speak to the actual impact of your work with data
- Know how to balance creative instinct with analytical discipline
- Thrive in a lean, fast-moving environment where priorities can shift and you adapt without losing momentum
- Communicate clearly and proactively, especially when something is not going according to plan
