Job Title: CorelDRAW Designer (Retail)
Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented CorelDRAW Designer to develop visually appealing designs for retail branding, marketing materials, and in-store visuals. The candidate should have strong design skills and a good understanding of retail trends and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Development for Retail Branding
- Create high-quality visual designs for store branding, such as banners, hoardings, window displays, standees, danglers, and signage
- Ensure all designs align with brand identity, tone, and seasonal campaigns
- Adapt designs for different store sizes and formats (mall outlets, standalone stores, kiosks)
- Product Packaging & Label Design
- Design packaging, tags, labels, price cards, and barcode stickers
- Ensure designs comply with printing standards and regulatory requirements (MRP, product info, etc.)
- Maintain consistency across product lines while allowing for creative differentiation
- Marketing & Promotional Materials
- Develop creatives for offers, discounts, festive sales, and in-store promotions
- Design brochures, leaflets, catalogues, and look books
- Create visual content for both offline (print) and online promotions when required
- Print Production & Vendor Coordination
- Prepare print-ready files with correct dimensions, bleed, margins, and colour settings (CMYK)
- Coordinate with printers and vendors to ensure output quality matches design intent
- Review proofs, suggest corrections, and approve final prints before production
- Design Adaptation & Resizing
- Resize and modify existing creatives for multiple formats and platforms
- Customize designs for regional stores or language variations
- Ensure consistency across all adaptations without losing visual quality
- Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and sales teams to understand campaign goals
- Translate business requirements into visually compelling designs
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for campaign ideas and visual strategies
- Brand Consistency & Visual Guidelines
- Follow and maintain brand guidelines across all design outputs
- Ensure uniformity in fonts, colors, layouts, and messaging across stores
- Help update or refine brand guidelines when needed
- File Management & Version Control
- Maintain organized folders and archives of all design files
- Keep track of design versions, updates, and approvals
- Ensure easy retrieval of past creatives for reuse or modification
- Quality Check & Error Control
- Perform thorough checks for spelling, alignment, color accuracy, and layout issues
- Minimize errors in print production to avoid rework and additional costs
- Ensure final outputs meet both creative and technical standards
- Trend Awareness & Innovation
- Stay updated with retail design trends, competitor visuals, and market aesthetics
- Suggest new ideas for improving in-store visual appeal and customer engagement
- Experiment with layouts, typography, and creative formats within brand limits
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in CorelDRAW (mandatory)
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator (preferred)
- Understanding of print production and color formats (CMYK, RGB)
- Good sense of typography, layout, and color theory
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Ability to handle feedback and revisions efficiently
Experience
- 1–3 years (Junior role)
- 3–5 years (Mid-level role, if needed)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the retail or FMCG industry
- Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) display design
- Basic knowledge of social media creatives
