About This Role
As a Canva Designer, you will produce high-quality, editable designs for Design Pickle's customers with Canva as the primary delivery platform. This role requires a versatile creator capable of leveraging the Affinity Suite for precision asset creation and Canva's AI-powered tools for workflow efficiency. The focus is on turning creative requests into visually compelling assets, ranging from social media and marketing templates to advanced video content and motion graphics, ensuring brand consistency and platform-native functionality.
This is part of our active talent pool. We review applications continuously, and strong candidates are kept under consideration and may be fast-tracked once a matching opportunity becomes available.
Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST/EST
Location: Remote, open to candidates in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, or India.
What You'll Do
- Create, adapt, and deliver design requests exclusively in Canva, while utilizing Affinity to create assets such as social media graphics, marketing collateral, presentations, and videos.
- Rebuild and convert files from external formats (PDFs, Adobe files, etc.) into fully editable Canva templates with proper structure, fonts, and design elements.
- Masterfully apply Canva AI tools to accelerate the design process and enhance creative output.
- Set up reusable design systems in Canva using locked elements, text styles, and layout guides to support scalable workflows and client flexibility.
- Navigate Canva's constraints with creative workarounds, often by prepping assets in Affinity to ensure high-quality, "pro-level" results within the Canva ecosystem.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Art Directors, and Quality Specialists to align on requirements and ensure smooth delivery via internal tools.
- Utilize Canva's Brand Hub and Folders, alongside organized Affinity source files, to maintain professional asset management.
- Provide clear, context-rich communication through internal tools and delivery notes (direct client interaction is typically limited to handoff messaging).
- Utilize Canva features like Version History, Comments, and Folders to support collaboration and maintain organized file structures.
- Navigate Canva's limitations (e.g., typography control, animation timing, asset management) with creative problem-solving and platform-native workarounds.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest updates and techniques to ensure the highest quality output.
