Patient Scheduling Specialist (Diagnostic Imaging)
Duration: 6-month contract, possible to extend
Location: Remote, must reside in California
Pay Rate: ~$25/hr
Shift: 8am-4:30pm
Must Haves:
2+ years of experience in hospital scheduling and/or prior authorization.
Familiarity with authorization workflows (verification, submission, tracking, documentation, etc.)
Effective communication skills for interacting with payors, providers, and internal teams.
Epic experience within scheduling or patient access
Day-to-Day:
- Schedule hospital‑based services and procedures in accordance with provider orders and organizational guidelines.
- Obtain and track prior authorizations from payors for scheduled services.
- Review documentation to confirm completeness and authorization requirements.
- Communicate with payors, provider offices, and internal departments to resolve authorization issues.
- Update appointment and authorization status accurately in Epic.
