Position Overview
Orthopedic Spine & Injury Center (OSIC) is seeking a physician with expertise in traumatic brain injury (TBI) care to join our rapidly expanding multidisciplinary program, with a defined pathway to Program Director within 3-6 months.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a comprehensive, multi-state TBI program within a well-established, privately owned multispecialty organization dedicated to the care of patients injured in accidents.
The role blends clinical excellence with strategic leadership, with an anticipated 75% clinical / 25% administrative focus. The ideal candidate is both a skilled clinician and a collaborative leader passionate about advancing neurorehabilitation and improving outcomes for patients with brain injury. OSIC is a leading multispecialty practice providing coordinated care for accident-related injuries across Utah, Washington, and Idaho, with expansion into Oregon underway.

Role & Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Perform comprehensive TBI evaluations via both in-person and telehealth platforms
- Develop and oversee individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Manage neurorehabilitation strategies, including cognitive, functional, and medical components
- Provide ongoing follow-up care to monitor progress and optimize recovery
- Educate patients and families on injury, recovery expectations, and care pathways
Leadership & Program Development
- Transition into Program Director role within 12 months, leading the TBI service line
- Direct and coordinate a large multidisciplinary team across multiple clinics and states
- Support clinical team members with complex cases and care coordination challenges
- Drive clinical quality, consistency, and best practices across the program
- Lead initiatives to implement advanced diagnostics and treatments, including:
- Biomarkers
- Advanced imaging
- Emerging neurorehabilitation modalities
- Participate in program growth through physician outreach, education, and strategic initiatives
- The candidate will be directly involved with growing and promoting the program
- Candidate must be comfortable presenting TBI topics and teaching about the OSIC TBI program in public forum and conferences
Operations & Systems
- Utilize EHR systems (eClinicalWorks) for documentation, compliance, and coordination
- Ensure adherence to clinical, regulatory, and HIPAA standards
- Collaborate with administrative leadership to optimize workflows and patient experience
Qualifications
- MD/ DO/PA/NP with experience in:
- Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Neurology
- Neurorehabilitation
- or related TBI-focused specialty
- Demonstrated experience managing traumatic brain injury patients
- Experience in telehealth delivery preferred
- Strong understanding of:
- Neurotrauma evaluation
- Cognitive and neurological assessment
- Imaging interpretation
- Proven ability to work within or lead multidisciplinary care teams
- Experience in program development, growth, or clinical leadership strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage patients and teams effectively
- Comfort with healthcare technology and EHR systems
