🚨 Senior Content Marketing Manager (Consulting) | Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Our Client, a global leader in digital energy management and industrial automation, is seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager to step in and lead content strategy, editorial direction, and day-to-day content operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned editorial professional who can quickly plug into an existing strategy, maintain momentum, and translate complex technical topics into compelling, consumer-friendly content.
This position will be based in Boston, MA, with a mix of onsite collaboration and remote flexibility.
What You'll Do
Content Strategy & Planning
- Partner with Brand leadership to manage and execute the content calendar across blogs, web content, research, reports, and multimedia
- Keep content priorities aligned with business goals and timelines
- Coordinate with writers and freelance contributors to maintain strong content velocity
Content Development & Editorial Leadership
- Create and edit high-impact content across technical verticals such as energy, EV, HVAC, climate, and electrification
- Translate complex scientific or technical topics into clear, engaging content for consumer audiences
- Maintain editorial quality, accuracy, and consistency across all deliverables
- Publish and update content within the CMS, including landing pages and evergreen resources
SEO & Performance
- Partner with SEO teams to support organic growth initiatives
- Optimize content using keyword insights and performance data
- Participate in content performance reviews and shape future strategy
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Represent Content in planning meetings with Brand, SEO, Video, and other partners
- Drive alignment and ensure timely delivery across stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- 7–10+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, or content strategy roles
- Strong writing, editing, research, and editorial judgment
- Experience in technical or science-based industries (energy, EV, HVAC, climate, electrical, environmental, etc.)
- Proven ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
- Hands-on experience creating and editing content
- CMS experience and comfort learning new tools
- Ability to step into an established strategy and operate independently
- Strong organizational skills in fast-paced environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with headless or modern CMS platforms (Storyblok is a plus)
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana
- Experience using AI tools to scale content while maintaining quality
- Consulting or freelance background
- Comfortable acting as a temporary content owner and decision-maker
