About the Role
The Duracell Summer Social Media Intern will support the Brand Communications team with a focused role in social media execution and content development. This internship offers handson experience working on social platforms for one of the world’s most iconic brands, with exposure to real campaigns, cultural moments, and creative collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social media, excited by culture and trends, and eager to learn how brand storytelling comes to life. We’re looking for a selfstarter who is curious, motivated, and ready to build skills in content creation, campaign planning, and creative collaboration within a fastpaced marketing environment.
About Duracell Brand Communications
Duracell’s Brand Communications team is responsible for how the brand shows up wherever consumers experience it, from major campaigns to everyday storytelling across channels. Social media is a core function within Brand Communications and plays a critical role in bringing the brand to life in real time. Reporting into the Director of Brand Communications, the team stays deeply connected to culture, ensuring Duracell remains relevant, engaging, and unmistakably iconic. Brand Communications partners closely with teams across the broader marketing organization including Shopper Marketing, Paid Media, and Integrated Agency partners to deliver cohesive, highimpact storytelling across platforms.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
As a member of the Duracell Social Media team, you will support daytoday execution while gaining exposure to broader brand and campaign strategy .
Social Media Content Creation
- Create engaging weekly social content for Duracell’s owned channels across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X
- Support content ideation, caption writing, basic editing, and execution of platformnative content
- Monitor social trends and proactively bring fresh ideas to the team
Brand Campaign & Execution Support
- Shadow the Associate Director of Brand Communications to gain exposure to campaign planning and execution for the back half of 2026
- Support major tentpole moments such as Holiday and Storm Season , learning about campaign timelines, asset development, and approval processes
- Participate in creative reviews, campaign management, and coordination with crossfunctional Integrated Agency Team (IAT) partners
Agency & CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Duracell’s Creative Agency to support social executions, including briefing, feedback, and ongoing collaboration
- Work with the social agency to edit, refine, and optimize content, ensuring alignment with brand standards and campaign objectives
- Collaborate with the agency on idea development and content concepts, while the agency remains responsible for final content creation
- Support social publishing schedules and community management efforts in coordination with agency and internal teams
- Assist in planning and executing social shoots, including content featuring the Duracell Scientist, in partnership with the agency and crossfunctional stakeholders

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Foundational marketing skills and strong interest in social media
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Creative thinker with curiosity and initiative
- Demonstrated academic or professional achievement, including leadership, analytical thinking, and problemsolving skills
- Prior knowledge of or experience with a consumerpackaged goods company is a plus
