Beacon Communications is a PR and marketing agency working with clients in toy, game, entertainment media, and lifestyle consumer products. Our programs span PR, social, digital, creative, and paid media, all in-house. About the Role
We're looking for a talented creative designer to join our Toronto team. This role is built for someone who can translate briefs into polished, compelling visuals across both social media and print/digital design — often for the same client in the same week.
You'll work across a diverse roster of toy and lifestyle brand clients, executing visual assets that bring campaigns to life. Strategy and copy come from our account team; your job is to make it look great and get it out the door.
What You'll Do
Social Media Visuals
• Design platform-native visual assets for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube across multiple client accounts
• Produce videos, story templates, carousels, static posts, and social ad creatives
• Adapt and resize assets across formats and placements to meet platform specifications
• Execute visuals that align with each client's brand guidelines and campaign direction
• Work efficiently to meet content schedules and campaign deadlines across multiple accounts
Graphic Design
• Design promotional posters, event invitations, and digital ads for client campaigns
• Produce media kits, one-pagers, and pitch decks that are visually compelling and on-brand
• Adapt assets across print and digital formats as required
• Maintain visual consistency across multiple client brand identities simultaneously
• Collaborate closely with the PR and account teams to ensure all design work aligns with campaign messaging and objectives
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
• 1–3 years of experience in social media content creation and graphic design
• A strong portfolio that includes both social media assets and designed print/digital deliverables
• Demonstrated experience creating visuals for consumer brands — particularly in toys, lifestyle, family, or entertainment categories
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or Canva Pro, video editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar tools
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts with competing deadlines without dropping the ball
• Sharp attention to detail
• Comfortable, confident communication style interacting with team and clients
• A strong understanding of social media trends
Nice to Haves
• Very active on social media
• Experience working at an agency
• Motion graphics or basic animation experience
• An understanding of how consumer brands market to parents, families, and lifestyle audiences
• Post-secondary education in graphic design, marketing, communications, or a related field
