Bookkeeper / Management Accountant (US Entity – New Jersey)

PHIX is looking for a highly capable, hands-on finance person to support the bookkeeping and monthly finance processes for our New Jersey-based US company.
This role is ideally suited to someone with solid US bookkeeping experience, particularly in a fashion, retail, e-commerce, apparel, consumer goods, or other inventory-led business.
You should be comfortable with:
- day-to-day bookkeeping
- bank, credit card and cash reconciliations
- AP / AR
- month-end
- inventory accounting
- COGS and landed cost reporting
- intercompany postings
- multi-currency transactions
- payroll support and payroll reconciliations
- working alongside external CPAs and payroll providers
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
- experience working with a New Jersey company
- familiarity with New Jersey payroll and employer compliance
- strong inventory and stock accounting experience
- experience with Shopify, e-commerce reporting and payment reconciliation
- experience with 3PL / warehouse reconciliations
- strong Excel skills
- Xero experience preferred
This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving business, so we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, commercially aware, and comfortable taking ownership of the numbers. Fashion or apparel experience would be a major plus.
