FP&A Manager – Strategic Business Partner

ROLE OVERVIEW
As the FP&A Manager, you will serve as a strategic financial partner to the leadership team, helping guide the company through a period of rapid growth and expanding product adoption. You will own financial planning, forecasting, performance reporting, and data-driven analysis that supports strategic decision-making across the organization. This role requires strong financial acumen, exceptional modeling capabilities, and the ability to translate operational data into meaningful insights for senior executives.
You will work closely with leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Operations to understand key drivers of the business—including ARR, churn and retention, implementation metrics, customer cohorts, and product-level performance. Your work will directly influence strategic initiatives, resource allocation, pricing decisions, and long-term growth planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the primary financial partner to functional leaders, offering forward-looking insights and recommendations that support growth, product strategy, and operational efficiency.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes; maintain ownership of the full company P&L with an emphasis on SaaS metrics such as ARR, NRR, gross margin, and customer acquisition cost.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models that capture revenue drivers, pipeline trends, renewal cycles, implementation timelines, and headcount planning.
• Analyze customer-level and product-level unit economics, identifying opportunities to improve margins, pricing strategy, resource deployment, and renewal performance.
• Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into KPIs such as ARR, churn, expansion revenue, implementation velocity, sales efficiency, and operational throughput.
• Prepare executive-level reporting packages for monthly business reviews, board meetings, and strategic planning discussions.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate new product launches, go-to-market initiatives, pricing changes, and investment decisions.
• Enhance forecasting tools, data quality, and FP&A processes to support a scalable, high-growth SaaS environment.
• Partner closely with Accounting, Data, and Operations teams to ensure alignment between financial results, operational metrics, and forecasts.
• Provide informal leadership to junior analysts or cross-functional partners, offering guidance on modeling, data interpretation, and business storytelling.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 6–10+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Strategic Finance roles; experience in SaaS, GovTech, or high-growth technology environments strongly preferred.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and strong fluency in Excel; experience with FP&A systems, BI tools, or SQL is a plus.
• Deep understanding of SaaS unit economics, recurring revenue models, and key performance metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
