Position Summary
JW Zepeda Law Firm is seeking an experienced Remote Paralegal located in Texas to support attorneys in litigation, case preparation, and client communication.
This role is ideal for a Texas Paralegal, Litigation Paralegal, or Legal Assistant who works well independently, communicates clearly, and thrives in a remote work environment.
The position involves supporting multiple practice areas including Family Law, Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, Estate Planning, and Business Law.

Practice Areas Supported
The Remote Paralegal will assist attorneys in the following areas:
- Family Law Paralegal work
- Civil Litigation Paralegal work
- Personal Injury Paralegal support
- Estate Planning & Probate matters
- Business Law matters
- Consumer Law / DTPA matters
Prior experience in any of these practice areas is beneficial but not required.
Key Responsibilities
The Remote Paralegal / Legal Assistant will:
• Draft legal documents including petitions, motions, pleadings, and correspondence
• Prepare discovery requests and discovery responses
• Maintain organized digital case files and document management systems
• Conduct legal research and summarize relevant case law
• Manage court deadlines, calendars, and litigation timelines
• Communicate professionally with clients and legal staff
• Assist attorneys with case strategy and trial preparation
• Prepare exhibits and litigation files for hearings and trials
• Ensure case deadlines and attorney responsibilities remain on track
Efficient systems and case management processes are critical in modern law firms to maintain productivity and client service standards.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
✔ Minimum 2 years experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
✔ Experience with litigation or legal case management
✔ Strong legal writing and drafting ability
✔ Excellent organization and attention to detail
✔ Familiarity with Texas court procedures preferred
✔ Comfortable using cloud-based legal software and remote tools
✔ Ability to work independently without constant supervision
