Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Technicians to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and HVAC system checks to ensure equipment reliability.
- Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements.
- Operate heavy machinery safely during repair or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols and industry standards.
- Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted for accurate documentation and future reference.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery while providing excellent customer service to internal clients or external customers.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a mechanic in dealership settings or industrial environments with a focus on heavy equipment repair.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and OEM specifications for various machinery types including excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers, and farm equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), and suspension components.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting operations.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation standards and safety procedures is highly desirable.
