Senior Accounting Operator

This role is for someone who understands that clean financials aren’t just about compliance — they’re about control. You will lead high-level client cleanups, manage complex QuickBooks Online environments, and build the foundation that allows businesses to move forward with confidence.

What You’ll Own
You will take the lead on new client cleanups and onboarding preparation, ensuring accuracy, structure, and performance-ready financials.
Core Responsibilities
· Execute full-scale accounting cleanups with precision and accountability
· Lead onboarding setups inside QuickBooks Online and related systems
· Reconcile, review, and correct general ledger accounts to GAAP standards
· Identify discrepancies and create clear documentation for client review
· Interface directly with clients to collect missing information and implement best practices
· Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules
· Guide junior accounting staff when needed
· Improve workflows and increase operational efficiency
Advanced Execution Includes
· Chart of Accounts restructuring and imports
· Journal entries including Work in Progress and deposit liabilities
· Transaction validation and historical corrections
· Fixed asset review and depreciation corrections
· Sales tax reconciliation
· Long-term liability reviews
· AR and AP cleanup
· QuickBooks Desktop to Online conversions
· CCCOne to QuickBooks reconciliation and correction of invalid receivables
· CRM-related financial adjustments
Each client is different. You must be comfortable thinking critically and solving problems independently.
What Makes You a Fit
· 10+ years of professional accounting experience
· 2+ years of strong, hands-on QuickBooks Online expertise
· Deep understanding of GAAP
· Experience handling complex reconciliations and financial reporting
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Strong communication skills — you can explain accounting without hiding behind jargon
· Experience with client onboarding or system transitions preferred
This role requires maturity, ownership, and a high standard of execution. Your first cleanup will be reviewed by the COO to ensure alignment and quality.
