Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Commercial Helper at the entry level, where you will play a vital role in supporting the installation of ductwork and learning to secures, and install supports metal or nonmetal ductwork systems on construction sites, working under supervisor guidance. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, assembling, and hanging ducts, using hand/power tools, and following blueprints to ensure proper airflow and safety compliance. This is a great entry level position to break into the HVAC Industry.
Duties
- Installation Support: Assist in installing commercial HVAC ductwork, ventilation equipment, and air handling units.
- Securing & Hanging: Install hangers, brackets, and clamps to secure ductwork to building structures.
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal ductwork and fittings.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized job site, must be able to wear a hard hat, work boots.
- Tool Operation: Utilize hand tools (snips, hammers, drills) and power tools (drills, saws) safely and learn to use a scissor lift.
Requirements:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy, bulky materials, work at heights, and stand/bend for long periods.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of blueprints, hand tools, and mechanical systems.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with a team.
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; entry-level position often requires 0–2 years of experience.
- Safety Mindset: High attention to detail and safety.
Working Conditions:
- Construction site environment (often loud, dusty, or exposed to weather).
- Frequent climbing, lifting, and overhead work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
