Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and boilers.
- Learn to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC system diagrams to support troubleshooting efforts.
- Support field service activities such as equipment diagnostics, refrigerant handling, and appliance repairs.
- Participate in plumbing and mechanical tasks related to HVAC/R systems, including ammonia refrigeration setups.
- Help perform routine property maintenance tasks like duct cleaning, filter replacements, and system inspections.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment safely under supervision.
- Gain experience in equipment repair, welding techniques, and boiler operation while adhering to safety standards.
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction principles relevant to HVAC installation and maintenance.
- Prior service technician or mechanical experience is a plus; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of HVAC design concepts and refrigeration systems.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems and property maintenance practices.
