Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Motorcycle Master Technician to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, exceptional diagnostic skills, and a passion for motorcycle repair and maintenance. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of motorcycle brands and models, providing expert service to our valued customers. The Motorcycle Master Tech will be responsible for performing complex repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks with precision and efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Perform advanced repairs including engine work, suspension, brake systems, electrical wiring, and welding as needed.
- Disassemble, assemble, and repair motorcycle components utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Execute vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire replacements, and routine inspections.
- Lead complex repair projects ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Assist in training junior technicians and apprentices to promote skill development within the team.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and services performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs, recommendations, and maintenance procedures clearly.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience specializing in motorcycles or automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of motorcycle systems including engines, suspensions, brakes, electrical systems, and welding.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and techniques.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and heavy lifting safely.
- Ability to perform vehicle assembly/disassembly efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Knowledge of automotive repair best practices including safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
- Certifications or ASE certifications related to motorcycle or automotive repair are preferred but not mandatory.
