Sluggers, Brand Manager
New York
Sluggers Hit is taking over the New York market. We don’t just open doors; we own them. We are looking for a high-octane Marketing Manager to lead our sell-through strategy across the state. This isn't a "behind a desk" job—it’s a boots-on-the-ground, hustle-heavy role focused on making sure Sluggers is the most visible, best-trained, and fastest-moving brand in every dispensary we enter.
The Mission
Your goal is simple: Maximize sell-through. You will own the brand’s presence at the retail level. Once our production partner and their sales team get us on the shelf, it’s your job to ensure we stay at the top of the menu and the front of the budtender’s mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Retail Domination: Own the "look and feel" of Sluggers in-store. This includes high-impact merchandising, securing premium shelf placement, and ensuring all physical and digital menus are accurate, updated, and visually on-point.
- Product Evangelism: Conduct high-energy, "Sluggers-style" product trainings for budtenders. You aren't just teaching specs; you’re building a fan base and creating excitement for the brand.
- Digital & In-Store Real Estate: Negotiate and execute online marketing banners on store websites and take full advantage of internal retail marketing programs (loyalty apps, newsletters, etc.).
- Strategic Partnerships: Build bulletproof relationships with store managers, buyers, and marketing directors. You are the face of the brand to our retail partners.
- Sales/Production Synergy: Work hand-in-hand with our New York production partner and their sales team to ensure a seamless handoff from "opening the door" to "owning the shelf."
- Team Leadership: As the market grows, you will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing a team of brand ambassadors who share your level of intensity and attention to detail.
Who You Are
- The Sluggers Mentality: You are tough, you hustle, and you take it personally if a competitor has better placement than us. You represent the brand as if it’s your own.
- Culture-First: You are deeply in tune with the cannabis culture and understand the nuances of the NY dispensary landscape.
- The "Closer" of Sell-Through: You have a proven track record of moving products at the retail level through creative promotions and relentless follow-up.
- A Natural Leader: You can command a room during a training session and mentor a team to live up to your high standards.
- Organized & Aggressive: You can manage multiple store accounts and digital menus while never losing your "street-level" edge.
Requirements
- Based in or around the NYC/New York market.
- 3+ years of experience in cannabis marketing, retail management, or high-volume brand activation.

- Valid driver’s license and a "no excuses" attitude.
