HISTORY
It all started in Naples
The Kimbo story begins over 60 years ago, when three brothers started roasting coffee in their father’s bakery in Naples. In a city where practically everyone cultivates and hands down the art of coffee, the talent and intuition of some standout. This is the case of Francesco, Gerardo, and Elio Rubino who founded the company.
They did not start out as industrialists, but the popularity of their espresso was soon extended beyond their neighborhood and there were those who came from far and wide to drink it. Their fame increased slowly, like sipping a cup of good coffee, and they got new ideas, such as bringing the pleasure of Neapolitan coffee to bars and homes all over the world.
In the 1960’s, the Rubino brothers took advantage of new packaging techniques and the opportunities this gave them. With the revolutionary vacuum-packaged can, the Neapolitan tradition of real coffee could be taken anywhere. With this in mind, Café do Brasil was set up in 1963 and soon became one of the most important coffee roasting shops in Europe. Their coffee became famous all over Italy and the world. In 1994, Café do Brasil ranked second in the retail sector of the Italian market for packaged coffee, a position that it still holds today.

Job Purpose / Overview
At Kimbo, USA the Regional Sales Manager, RETAIL - is responsible for the execution of the strategies within a region, management of the Broker network and the Distributor network. This individual must excel at relationship building, planning, and managing and measuring work within the Region on our Retail Team. The Regional Sales Manager is also responsible for the sales activity managed through our distribution partners in the designated area for the Retail channel and will support customer service activities for regional and / or national chain customers, thereby increasing visibility of the company in the marketplace and maximizing market share.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Manage Retail distributors in a Region, including working with their sales teams.
• Actively searches for new distributors partners in the Retail channel.
• Manage and develop Broker network in line with National Sales Manager
• Develop together with, National Sales Manager, distributors annual sales plans.
• Achieves budget sales volume, product mix and selling price.
• Represent the Company in the external shows and activities.
• Manage distributor forecasting on a monthly basis to ensure production effectiveness.
• Manage distributor orders and deliveries together with Customer Service.
• Ensures all distributor A/R are within company guidelines and monitors/verifies its performances against the identified targets.
• Tracks results and reviews them on a regular basis with the National Sales Manager to confirm execution and delivered results.
• Develop and maintain highly effective long-term relationships with key customers -new/existing clients as assigned by the National Sales Manager
Qualifications
• 5-7+ year’s experience in managing brokers, distributors and retail chains directly with existing connections.
• Four-year college degree from an accredited institution, Business or Marketing Mgmt. preferred.
• More than 8 years of relevant sales experience in the Retail CPG industry preferred.
• Experience in coffee industry is preferred.
• Identify distributor operators and develop sales plans in accordance with operator call guidelines (i.e. branded proposition selling, profitability, volume, and strategic importance)
• Make sound customer business decisions based on customer opportunity, profitability and volume resulting in profitable growth
• High-level of integrity, passion with a presence that fits a fast-paced, energetic and collaborative organization
• Strategic thinking, planning, financial management, decision-making, sales presentation, & negotiation skills
• Innovative, solution-oriented mindset and ability to drive collaboration across diverse functional groups to achieve goals.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, passionate for the business with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
