The RoleWe are seeking a creative, self-starting Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator to lead our digital presence. We need a "department of one" who can film, edit, schedule, and strategize independently. This is a freelance/consultant-style role for someone ready to hit the ground running, bringing fresh ideas to the table without needing daily oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Daily Content Creation: Concept, film, and edit high-quality video content (TikToks, Reels, Stories) and capture clean, aesthetic product photography that aligns with our prestige brand.
- Product-First Focus: Ensure our products are the star of the show. You will be responsible for creating elevated visuals that showcase textures, packaging, and results.
- Influencer Outreach: Research and curate a strategic list of influencers and creators for brand gifting and content partnerships to expand our reach.
- Community Management: Handle daily posting and caption writing across Social platforms.
- Trend Strategy: Monitor social trends and "translate" them for a sophisticated audience, prioritizing expert-led beauty tips over fleeting memes.
Work Structure & Expectations- Flexible Hours: This is a part-time role requiring 10–15 hours per week. You are responsible for managing your own schedule to ensure all deliverables are met.
- Autonomous Workflow: We value efficiency and independence. We recommend a "batching" style, dedicating specific blocks of time to filming and editing to ensure a consistent, organized posting flow.
- Weekly Sync: You will have a brief weekly check-in with the team to align on goals, but otherwise, you are expected to work independently and meet deadlines.
Requirements & Qualifications- Professional Experience: Previous experience managing social media and content (both video and photo) for a beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brand is required. (Internship is acceptable)
- Self-Starter Mentality: You are highly autonomous. You take pride in working by yourself, managing your own deadlines, and being proactive rather than waiting for instructions.
- Aesthetic Alignment: You understand the "SPATCH" look. Clean, elevated, and professional. You have a "product-first" mindset and know how to make makeup look aspirational.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Social platforms (Instagram and TikTok), mobile video editing tools (CapCut, InShot, etc.), and basic photo editing (Canva, Photoshop).
- Location: While the role is remote, New York City location is preferred.
