Job Summary
Responsible for driving, standardizing, and owning a company-wide maintenance program across multiple sites. This remove role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability improvement, and accountability-ensuring equipment uptime, reducing unplanned downtime, and eliminating reactive maintenance. The Maintenance Program Manager partners with operations and on-site teams to build disciplined systems, leverage data, and deliver consistent maintenance performance that supports safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
Duties
- Design, implement, and continuously improve a preventive and predictive maintenance program.
- Establish standardized maintenance procedures across all locations.
- Build PM schedules
- Define KPIs (downtime, MTBF, PM compliance, cost control)
- Identify chronic equipment issues and eliminate repeat failures.
- Serve as the central maintenance authority across multiple sites.
- Guide, support, and challenge on-site maintenance teams.
- Ensure consistent documentation, reporting, and follow-through.
- Conduct virtual audits and periodic site visits to validate execution.
- Implement and manage a CMMS (or improve the one we already have)
- Oversee maintenance planning, work orders, and backlog control.
- Develop spare parts strategies to reduce downtime and emergency purchases.
- Review maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities without cutting corners.
- Drive root cause analysis for equipment failures.
- Recommend equipment upgrades, rebuild strategies, and lifecycle planning.
- Partner with operations to align maintenance priorities with production goals.
- Lead reliability-focused improvement initiatives.
- Ensure maintenance activities meet all safety, regulatory, and company standards.
- Promote safe work practices and proper lockout/tagout procedures.
- Support inspections, audits, and corrective action plants.
Requirements
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining or heavy equipment environments.
- Proven success in building or improving a maintenance program.
- Strong understanding of pumps and water systems; burners and aggregate drying equipment, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience working with CMMS platforms.
- Ability to lead remotely while maintaining accountability.
- Data-driving mindset with ability to turn reports into action
- Multi-site maintenance oversight experience.
- Reliability or maintenance certifications (CMRP, PMP, etc.)
- Experience supporting wash plants, processing plants, or heavy industrial operations.
- Comfortable traveling to sites monthly, passport will be required for Canada travel.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
