The Administrative Assistant (Volunteer) will provide essential administrative and organizational support to African Ancestry Link. This role supports daily operations, coordination, and communication, helping ensure smooth workflow across teams and initiatives. It is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and eager to support a growing nonprofit making impact across Africa and the diaspora.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the leadership and project teams.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating virtual calls.
- Support email communication, follow-ups, and basic correspondence.
- Help organize documents, files, and records (Google Drive, email, etc.).
- Assist with preparing simple reports, meeting notes, and task lists.
- Support coordination of events, webinars, or internal activities as needed.
- Track tasks, deadlines, and basic administrative workflows.
- Provide support to other teams when required.
Required Qualifications
- Basic administrative or office support experience (professional or volunteer).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Comfortable using basic tools such as email, Google Docs, and spreadsheets.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
