Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at a leading manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance expertise, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment. This role involves working with programmable logic controllers, hydraulic systems, HVAC/R, and other industrial components to ensure optimal operational performance. The Technician will also support field service operations and collaborate with customer service teams to provide technical solutions. Candidates with military experience or background in industrial electrician work are highly encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and electrical components.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess system performance.
- Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage control systems.
- Conduct welding operations using welding techniques as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Support field service activities by traveling to customer sites for on-site repairs and installations.
- Assist in the training of team members on new equipment or procedures, emphasizing safety and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, high voltage systems, and other hazardous conditions.
- Use mechanical knowledge and analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, HVAC/R, welding, and electrical systems.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters effectively.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
- Knowledge of industrial electrician practices including low voltage systems and high voltage safety protocols.
- Hands-on experience with field service operations is preferred.
- Excellent analysis skills coupled with customer service orientation for effective client interactions.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
