Eos Lightmedia is seeking an Engineering Design Lead to oversee the detailed engineering and technical design outputs for high-profile AV integration projects, including IMM AV Design and Install initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring that system designs meet functional, performance, and constructibility goals across lighting, control, networking, and electrical disciplines. The Engineering Lead serves as a key technical authority, coordinating design efforts across internal teams and external stakeholders, validating system integrity, and supporting field execution. This position play s a critical role in translating conceptual design intent into practical, reliable, and standards - compliant engineering solutions. Leveraging platforms such as Pixera, Q-SYS, ISAAC and Node-RED to deliver robust, scalable systems.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the development of technical drawings, schematics, and documentation packages
- Validate rack layouts, power loads, and network segmentation to meet performance requirements
- Support testing and commissioning to ensure systems operate reliably under all show conditions
- Coordinate design scope, responsibilities, and deadlines among engineers and systems designers
- Review and sign off on all engineering deliverables for accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with the Lead Designer to translate conceptual intent into practical system designs
- Integrate cross-discipline requirements, including lighting, control, networking, and electrical
- Ensure compliance with Eos Lightmedia standards, building codes, and client specifications
- Identify integration risks early and coordinate solutions with related disciplines
- Support field engineering and installation efforts with redlines, change documentation, and as-built verification
- Design and validate systems using Pixera for media playback, Q-SYS for audio and control, ISAAC for centralized system management, and Node-RED for custom logic and automation workflows
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Design, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in AV systems engineering, integration, or technical design
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and AV design software
- Hands-on experience with Pixera, Q-SYS, ISAAC, and Node-RED platforms
- Expertise in rack design, power distribution, and network architecture
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex deliverables
- Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and commissioning protocols
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Approve system designs and engineering packages prior to client submission or procurement
- Delegate engineering tasks and manage the workload of the design engineering team
- Flag design or coordination issues for resolution and drive technical alignment across documents
- Approve design revisions required for field changes, integration adjustments, or constructability constraint
- Ability to travel for site visits, testing, and installation support as needed
