Job Summary:
Responsible for customer support by traveling to customers site to evaluate, trouble shoot, perform preventative maintenance, repair and/or install a variety of electronic controls for engine monitoring and control systems. This position requires someone who is able to travel for 90-100% of their time, often out of state. While this position does not require a degree or certification, the right candidate would need to have some basic electrical knowledge and be mechanically inclined.
Supervisory Responsibility:
No supervisory responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation of electronic controls and end devices of large internal combustion engines.
- Installation of conduit and stainless-steel tubing. Troubleshooting.
- Stocking Job trailer for future job with materials and consumables.
- Assemble and test equipment for customer orders and installations.
- Travel and drive in DOT status with company truck and trailers.
- Wire end devises and terminate for correct operations for customers control systems.
- Fabrication will be required.
- Follow NEC requirements and customer preferences of all electrical practices.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Basic Electrical and Mechanical knowledge (willing to train right applicant)
- Clean driving record within the last 3 years.
- Willing to work in a team with minimal supervision.
- Candidate must have good work ethics and take pride in their workmanship.
- Ability to work in adverse working conditions.
- Must be able to pass and obtain DOT medical card and insurable.
Education and Experience:
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Mechanically inclined
- Technical degree or training preferred, but not required.
- Industrial Electrical/Maintenance preferred.
Independent Action:
Ability to work with limited instruction and supervision.
