Role: Product Repair Technician – Common Lives Project (Short-Term Contract, USA)
Overview:
Highbrow is recruiting Product Repair Technicians across the U.S. for the Common Lives Project, a research initiative using wearable GoPro footage to study manual and creative work.
What You’ll Do:
- Wear a provided GoPro camera to record your repair, maintenance, or troubleshooting routines (5 days within 2 weeks, approx. 7 hrs/day with breaks).
- Upload and review your recorded clips daily (~2 hrs).
- Decide which footage to keep, anonymize, or delete as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be based in the U.S.
- Have an indoor or private workspace (no children under 18 present).
- All adults present must consent and speak fluent English.
- Must be self-employed or have employer consent to participate.
- Basic computer and internet skills required for uploading and reviewing footage.
