We're seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Manager with 7+ years experience and prior Asset Management expertise to oversee the complete life cycle of all medical devices across Acute Care Hospitals and Ambulatory Clinics. This leadership role is crucial for ensuring operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and security using the Claroty system.
Key Responsibility 1: Asset Management
Own the medical equipment inventory within the Claroty system, ensuring accurate data for location, status, maintenance history, and complete Life Cycle Management (from acquisition to eventual disposal).
Key Responsibility 2: Technical Assessment Process
Be accountable for the internal Technical Assessment Process for all medical equipment. This includes documenting clear ownership, ensuring organization-wide awareness of assessment status, and facilitating the process of an annual review cycle for the technical assessment and overall organization compliance of that review.
Key Responsibility 3: Process & Governance
Develop and implement standardized processes that align with the organizational structure. This includes the creation of a formal RACI matrix for equipment management, requiring sign-off from key stakeholders.
Key Responsibility 4: Team Leadership & Strategy
Lead team activities across functional groups without direct supervisory reports. Use data from Claroty and operational throughput to build a recommendation for optimal team size to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibility 5: Security & Compliance
Partner directly with the internal security team to manage and document remediation efforts for all security vulnerabilities in medical devices, tracking documentation within Claroty.
Key Responsibility 6: Procurement & Budgeting
Partner with stakeholders for capital planning and budgeting for new equipment acquisition. Provide data-driven recommendations based on life cycle analysis and total cost of ownership.
Preferred Experience and Certifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in clinical engineering, biomedical technology, or medical equipment management. Prior Asset Management experience is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Certification as a Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) is highly preferred.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Certification credentialed from the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
