Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled AC Technician cum Helper to join our team. This role involves assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, with a focus on air conditioning units. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable working in various environments, including residential and commercial properties. This position is essential for ensuring optimal performance of HVAC systems and providing excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of air conditioning units and HVAC systems according to schematics and design specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, including refrigeration systems and boilers.
- Troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems, utilizing tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose problems effectively.
- Support the lead technician in field service tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on property maintenance tasks, including plumbing and appliance repair as needed.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist in equipment repair and ensure optimal functionality of all systems.
Skills
- Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and refrigeration processes.
- Experience as a service technician or in a related field is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC systems.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction or property maintenance.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform welding tasks as required for equipment repairs.
- Knowledge of boiler operations and maintenance practices is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
