The Maintenance Control team plays a central role in ensuring every aircraft is safe, compliant, and mission-ready—coordinating directly with field crews, maintenance providers, and our in-house Director of Maintenance to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining the highest operational standards.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Controller is a critical role for the company, responsible for ensuring the successful day-to-day maintenance of the company's aircraft. This individual will play a key role in maintaining the operational efficiency of the maintenance department, ensuring all maintenance actions are performed in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Flexibility and adaptability will be key as the company continues to grow.

Essential Functions:
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the company:
- Provides a single point of contact and control for all maintenance events
- Evaluate reported aircraft discrepancies and develop an appropriate maintenance plan.
- Responsible for releasing aircraft for RTS in accordance with company and FAA guidelines.
- Manage daily scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of Sol Aerial Surveys’ fleet of aircraft.
- Coordinate maintenance actions among mechanics, pilots, maintenance facilities, and third-party vendors to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor and control maintenance activities to ensure timely completion and compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Create and maintain core processes to ensure consistent maintenance practices.
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with customers and third-party maintenance facilities to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of deployed customer aircraft.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Monitor aircraft flight hours, cycles and landings to ensure time-sensitive inspections, scheduled maintenance, or other expiration times do not lapse.
- Create/review logbook entries, associated 8130s when applicable, and other FAA/logbook forms for all maintenance performed, ensuring accurate and permanent records.
- Maintain a general knowledge of all work and inspections being performed.
- Utilize company maintenance tracking software (Veryon), Monday.com, Slack, G Suite, and other software programs to ensure operational efficiency and innovation.
- Maintain currency of service manuals, instructions, bulletins, airworthiness directives, and aircraft specifications.
- Determine and supply required manuals and tasks for aircraft repair to vendors.
- Assist in developing and implementing Maintenance SOPs and educate both internal and external stakeholders on these procedures.

Professional Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least 5 years in a maintenance control role.
- Strong knowledge of Cessna aircraft maintenance, including twin Cessna models and the Cessna Caravan.
- Experience maintaining and repairing a variety of general aviation aircraft for external customers.
- Thorough understanding of FAA regulations and airworthiness standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

- Should be comfortable leading and as a team player
- Background in safety operations (Preferred).
- FAA A&P License (Required).
- FAA Inspection Authorization (Preferred).
Physical Requirements:

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
