Traveling Biomedical Equipment Technicians (Contract)
Salary Range: $28.00 To 42.00 Hourly Depending on experience.
Position Description
Traveling Biomedical Equipment Technicians will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for medical equipment at various healthcare facilities and hospitals. The technician will travel to different locations within the assigned region to perform repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on a variety of medical devices.
Position Requirements
Must keep up to date on technological and medical advances.
Must have the ability to manage your workload within your assigned accounts. Making sure PMs and unscheduled repairs are completed within allotted time frames.
Maintain a PM completion percentage of greater than 95% for non-high-risk and 100% for high-risk.
Must have up to date understanding of Joint Commission, DNV, AAMI and NFPA regulations.
Must have the ability to travel to area facilities to repair and maintain a wide variety of hospital medical equipment.
Computer Skills: MS Office, Outlook proficiency.
Language Ability: Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability: Basic: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education
Associates, Bachelors or Equivalent Experience Related Field preferred.
