About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Pension Administration Specialist with strong expertise in manual pension calculations, system implementations, and migration projects. This role requires a blend of pension administration knowledge, hands-on system testing, and project management skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual pension calculations, pension payment setups, and pension data entry/validation.
- Process pension election forms and related administrative tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and create detailed documentation for system programmers.
- Develop test plans from scratch based on requirements, including edge and break-point scenarios.
- Mine and analyze data to create effective test cases, including scenarios not directly present in sample datasets.
- Execute testing activities to validate system functionality and ensure successful implementation.
- Manage and oversee system migration projects end-to-end, ensuring deliverables align with business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ask clarifying questions, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions to support successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in pension administration (not call center or actuarial), including manual pension calculations, payment setup, and pension data management.
- Strong experience processing returned election forms and handling related administration tasks.
- Hands-on experience with system implementation and migration projects.
- Expertise in requirements gathering and writing clear, actionable documentation for technical teams.
- Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and execution, covering all edge and break-point scenarios.
- Strong data mining and analytical skills to create test cases outside standard datasets.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly learn, adapt, and ask effective clarifying questions.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
Preferred:
- Prior experience with large-scale pension system migrations.
- Familiarity with pension administration platforms or enterprise HR/benefits systems.
