Position Summary:
As a Remote Patient Services Specialist / Data Entry, you’ll be the backbone of our virtual patient support team. You will assist with scheduling, updating patient records, processing referrals, entering data into healthcare systems, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and providers — all while working from the comfort of your home.
This is an ideal role for someone detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and update patient information, appointments, and documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Handle inbound patient service requests via email, chat, or phone (non-clinical support only)
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal departments
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and referral documentation
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
- Support reporting and administrative tasks related to patient engagement and scheduling
- Ensure a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
- 1+ year of experience in a healthcare support, call center, or data entry role preferred (but not required for strong candidates)
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner) a plus
- Strong typing speed and accuracy (minimum 40 WPM recommended)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable navigating multiple systems and screens simultaneously
- Able to work independently, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a remote environment
- Must be based in the U.S. and authorized to work
