Essential Job Functions:This is a technical and hands on position that requires knowledge of Microsoft Windows and MacOS systems; knowledge of home networking and troubleshooting is a plus. Excellent customer service skills are required in order to assist end users with technology issues remotely. This person is responsible for intaking support requests via phone, chat or live meeting, ensuring accurate information gathering and input with verification of details. Basic hardware troubleshooting, software installing/upgrading and support in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- A positive attitude and excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
- Windows 10 experience
- MacOS experience
- Experience as a helpdesk tech
- Experience with a ticketing system
- Guide users with simple step-by-step instructions
- Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory
- Solid knowledge of MS Office suites
- Experience with Google workspaces
- Experience troubleshooting home network and wireless issues
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to diagnose hardware and/or software problems and escalate correctly
- Self-motivator with the ability to work independently
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- May perform routine system administration activities such as adding/modifying/removing user access, installing upgrades and patches, maintaining spreadsheets, HW/SW ordering, etc.
- Ability to support remote locations and primary work from home employees
- Detail oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively primarily in written and spoken English
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
