ACBS is a non-profit psychological association, started in 2005, with over 8,000 international members, more than 40 chapters, and more than 40 special interest groups. Skills/Qualifications:
- Applicants must have at least 2 years working experience providing administrative support.
- Excellent professional communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to draft and edit professional communication.
- Exceptional organizational, logical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to plan, track and perform multiple tasks. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high attention to detail and accuracy while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated, able to perform work without constant oversight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suites, and the ability to learn other software (Dropbox, Zoom, Doodle, Drupal, Canva, etc.)
- Experience with websites (HTML, etc.) a plus (not required).
Administrative Assistant Job Duties: A small staff, not-for-profit, psychology association is looking for an administrative assistant to join the Executive Director and staff in executing our mission. Job duties would include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinates with committees for the preparation of minutes, task tracking, follow up communication, etc.
- Provides excellent customer service to member generated questions and requests.
- Manages aspects of preparation for Association’s annual conference (continuing education, registration, travel, etc.)
- Administers on-going Continuing Education co-sponsorship program, including member application processing, and post event follow up procedures.
- Improves Association website resources for content, as well as troubleshooting for errors, and making recommendations to improve usability.
- Executes admin duties as they pertain to association Listservs.
- Assists Training Committee with processing applications, ensuring they are complete, and coordinating with reviewers.
- Schedule and provide basic technical support for online meetings and webinars via Zoom.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related activities as needed.
- Manage and update member records in the customer relations management system (CRM), with meticulous attention to detail.
The association is based in Michigan. Candidates will be considered from within and outside the state of Michigan, but candidates outside of Michigan will be hired as a long term contractor.
