We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a key role in developing and executing marketing campaigns across digital channels, with a strong focus on email marketing, digital content creation, and podcast promotion. You’ll collaborate with our social media coordinator and our director of operations who oversees the podcast as well as our sales team. Your analytical skills will assist you as your monitor and report on the success of your marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller with a deep understanding of premium, authentic travel audiences and a passion for Italian culture. We view this role as one with opportunity for growth up to the possibility of director level.
Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Develop and manage a content calendar aligned with brand strategy and seasonal travel trends.
- Write compelling blog posts, travel guides, and landing page copy that engages and informs.
- Collaborate with designers and partners to produce visual assets (photos, videos, infographics).
Email Marketing
- Design and execute weekly email newsletters and automated email sequences (e.g., welcome, re-engagement, post-trip).
- Segment lists for targeted campaigns based on behavior, preferences, and travel history.
- Track performance metrics and A/B test subject lines, content, and CTAs to improve engagement.
Podcast Marketing
- Support our branded podcast, including publishing episodes, writing show notes, and crafting promotional content.
- Coordinate episode promotions across email, blog, and social media.
- Monitor podcast analytics to inform promotional strategies and guest selection.
Digital Advertising
- Run digital advertising campaigns (such as Google Ads or social ads) or oversee a partner responsible for managing these campaigns.
Analytics & Optimization
- Monitor and report on campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, and podcast platforms.
- Make data-driven recommendations to optimize future campaigns and improve conversion rates.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in travel, luxury, or lifestyle brands.
- BS/BA in Marketing or a related field of study preferred.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a knack for storytelling and voice consistency.
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms and CMS tools.
- Familiarity with podcast platforms and promotion best practices.
- Basic understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Ads and social media strategy.
- Passion for Italy, Italian culture, and luxury travel a strong plus.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
