Administrative Assistant (Remote - Independent Contractor)

$16/hr | Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (1-hour paid lunch)
SoCal Water Pro, a small and growing water compliance company based in Southern California, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our remote team. This is a contractor role best suited for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing multiple administrative tasks while working independently.
What You'll Do:
- Draft and send invoices using provided templates
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately (e.g., sales inquiries to our sales rep, client questions to our operations manager)
- Respond to emails professionally and promptly
- Save incoming documents and keep digital files organized
- Update tracking systems and internal records
- Schedule appointments and follow-ups as needed
- Draft and send out proposals based on pre-existing templates
- Pay incoming invoices and track outgoing payments
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and dependable
- Comfortable working with Outlook, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
- Able to manage time independently and meet deadlines
- A positive, proactive attitude—ready to jump in and support a small team
Requirements:
- Must provide your own working computer and phone
- Must be based in the U.S.
- Previous administrative experience strongly preferred
- Availability Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM PST
