Role Summary
We are seeking a Visual Designer to join our Brand and Creative team. The Visual Designer is responsible for brand design and development, and crafting consistency across all Splunk branded deliverables. You will support creative design for all kinds of marketing materials (website graphics, signage, collateral, PPT, diagrams, graphics, banners, etc.). In this function, you will need to comfortably collaborate with key stakeholders in marketing, and cultivate close partnerships.
Key to this role is event graphic strategy. You will work with the expanded Brand and Creative team to successfully represent the Splunk brand through event execution. Environmental signage design and presentation design are a must.
You will have a hands-on background in creative development, print expertise, PowerPoint execution and production with a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic and real passion for all aspects of design. While you know that collaboration and partnership are the only successful path forward on any effort, you have a sense of ownership for your work and are responsible for your projects end-to-end. What you'll get to do
- You will be responsible for the ongoing design and execution of creative projects.
- You will follow brand standards and templates while maintaining and developing new standards as needed.
- Manage assets and distribution to customers (Splunkers) as needed.
- Collaborate with web and brand designers for brand and creative consistency.
- Formally or informally, present design concepts and deliverables to your client partners and the Brand+Creative team.
- Support subject matter experts in Marketing to understand project requirements, audience needs and timelines.
Must-have Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years experience in graphic design, including print and web.
- Possess a can-do attitude to push execution forward while appropriately navigating any road-blocks. Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to achieve a consensus on design.
- Solid knowledge of and experience with applying design standard methodologies and production techniques.
- Excellent communicator across different mediums. Strong interpersonal skills working across multi-functional internal teams.
- Proven success in multi-tasking on a variety of project needs.
- Inherent sense of ownership and responsibility toward delivering projects on time.
- Design/creative agency experience and internships a plus. Strong background in print and digital projects preferred. Portfolio of experience should include collateral, signage, web banners, social media graphics, email templates, diagrams and PowerPoint work.
- Proficient in MSOffice suite – Word/Excel/PowerPoint (PowerPoint skills a must).
- Proficient in gSuite Docs, Sheets, Slides.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator required. HTML5 a plus.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Web Design or similar discipline.

Base Pay Range $108,000.00 - 148,500.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range $97,200.00 - 133,650.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range $86,400.00 - 118,800.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate.
In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
