Bookkeeping Manager (CPG Experience Preferred)
Location: Remote (must align with PST/Los Angeles business hours)
Compensation: 25–35/hour (1099 contractor)
Expected Hours: 10–15 hours/week | 40–60 hours/month (flexible based on deadlines)

We’re seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Manager who is eager to grow with our company long-term—not someone seeking a side gig. This role begins with managing three client accounts, leading three small bookkeeping teams, and handling client-facing responsibilities (including weekly communications and email correspondence). The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and ready to expand their workload as the role evolves. Success here requires the capacity to take on additional clients as our business grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor remote bookkeeping teams (currently three)
- Oversee A/P, A/R, GL, reconciliations, payroll, and month-end close
- Review entries and solve problems creatively
- Ensure accurate reporting and meet client deadlines
- Be client-facing: handle weekly client check-ins and emails professionally
- Communicate clearly and consistently with both clients and your team
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, including team leadership
- Strong QuickBooks Online (QBO) skills
- Experience with trade spend, inventory management, and CPG accounting
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Proficient in Google Suite, ClickUp, and Excel
- Available Monday–Friday in Pacific Time / Los Angeles time zone
Hours: 10–15 hours per week (40–60/month), depending on deadlines. Hours may fluctuate.
Compensation: $25–$35 per hour (1099) + potential bonuses
