We seek a detail-oriented and creative designer to join our dotcom product design team. Utilizing our existing design system, you will be responsible for page layouts in Figma and digital Experience Manager (AEM), wireframing, image search, icon creation, prototyping, and other design se pre-built design components in Figma and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to develop clean, user-friendly designs that align with org brand and design standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design
Page and Web Design and Layout:
- Design and update web layouts using pre-built components in Figma and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Manage day-to-day design production within AEM, adhering to the evolving design system to ensure brand consistency across digital platforms and devices.
- Create wireframes and prototypes to visualize design concepts, aligning with org brand and design guidelines.
- Apply a strong foundation in UX/UI design to produce clean, functional layouts using Figma and AEM components.
User-Centric design approach:
- Utilizing a research-driven approach to understand user needs and preferences.
- Inform design decisions with insights derived from user research.
- Ensure digital experiences are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user expectations.
Ensure Web Usability and Accessibility:
- Create web and digital designs that are compatible with multiple screen sizes and devices, adhering to accessibility standards and achieving usability best practices.
- Ensure that designs are intuitive and easy to navigate for all users.
Image Selections and Editing:
- Conduct image research, selection, and editing/retouching to support web page design and content creation.
- Ensure that images adhere to brand guidelines and are optimized for web use, contribute to cohesive visual experience.
Design Enhancements and Testing:
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing(UAT) to evaluate design optimizations, components, styling and patterns.
- Compile and analyze findings in UAT reports, providing insights to improve design quality, accessibility, and usability.
- Collaborate with the team to implement iterative improvements that enhance the overall user experience.
Communication:
- Work closely with follow designers, content creators, product management, authors, and other stakeholders to ensure that design deliverables are completed on time and meet required quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative, open communication to align design goals and ensure cohesive execution across teams.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design, UX/UI design, human-computer interaction or equivalent
Experiences and Expertise:
- Minimum 4 years of working with CMS-Required
- Minimum of 4 years of digital design experience in UI or product design-Required
- Experience applying/working within design systems-Required
- Strong proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Experience Manager(or equivalent CMS tools), Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software-Required
- Solid understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG and ADA, and how to apply them in design work to ensure compliance and inclusivity
- Ability to identity and address common accessibility issues in digital designs
- Experience working in an agile/waterfall hybrid environment
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail in design, ensuring consistency across all design elements, from layout to typography, color schemes, and interactive components.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent team collaboration and relationship management skills
- Strong communicator to articulate concepts and design to a variety of key stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
