Seeking a Part-Time Web Designer – Marketing (Remote) for our Southern California office. This position will be a key hire to help grow our Civil Engineering division.

We are seeking a talented Part-Time Web Designer to become a part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating within teams, a strong understanding of current best practices, and the ability to meet specifications and deadlines. You will be joining a dedicated and enthusiastic group committed to effectively marketing the company and enhancing its presence in the marketplace.
P/T Web Designer – Marketing Responsibilities
- Oversee marketing design initiatives from conception to execution, ensuring effective management of personal workflows and adherence to deadlines.
- Work in partnership with marketing collaborators and stakeholders to produce visually appealing content, making necessary adjustments throughout the process.
- Develop and enhance marketing visual assets to elevate the brand standards, ensuring consistency across all branding efforts.
- Strengthen our visibility on major social media platforms through the use of graphic and video content.
- Create printed materials for events and promotional items.
- Collaborate with the Product Marketing Manager to implement product marketing and sales enablement campaigns across various channels, including the website, email, and social media.
- Ensure website visuals are current by coordinating closely with developers as required.
- Maintain an organized and accessible system for files and workflows.
- Engage in discussions or provide guidance on design projects with stakeholders, balancing constructive feedback with a willingness to receive input.
What We're Looking for in a P/T Web Designer:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- A portfolio that highlights exceptional creative skills across multiple platforms, including collateral, social media, print, events, branding, and corporate communications is essential.
- A solid grasp of design fundamentals such as color theory, typography, and layout is crucial, along with meticulous attention to detail and strong self-organization skills.
- The ability to effectively communicate your work and navigate stakeholders through the creative journey is important, complemented by a refined sense of art direction.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma, or similar prototyping tools, is required, along with a foundational knowledge of video and animation tools to support the launch of new product features.
- Comfort with content management systems like Sanity or WordPress is necessary, as is a genuine passion for design and a commitment to keeping abreast of current design trends and techniques.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS, illustration, videography, and/or 3D design is advantageous.
