Job Description:
We are looking to recruit an experienced and highly skilled UI/UX Designer to spearhead the development of the Apollo Archive Web platform. This role involves working closely with the Project Manager to bring a comprehensive, user-friendly archive interface to life in a tight timeline.
The project will consist of five phases with a public release on March 19th, 2025 and the MVP build delivered by July 1st, 2025.
As the UI/UX Designer, you will oversee all visual design aspects of the project including the main public archive to user profiles, an internal admin statistics interface, and a dashboard for artists to view the data from their works within the archive. You will also have discretion in proposing the hiring of additional designers or artists if necessary to complete the project by the specified deadline.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the Apollo Archive Web platform across five phases:
- Phase I: Core archive database viewing and search functionality.
February 1st, 2025 | Alpha Testing
- Phase II: User profiles, likes, and comment features.
February 18th, 2025 | Beta Testing
- Phase III: Archive analytics and admin interfaces.
March 19th, 2025 | Official Public Release
- Phase IV: User-based suggestion interfaces using analytics.
May 1st, 2025
- Phase V: Artist dashboard for artwork management and analytics.
July 1st, 2025 | Full MVP Build Release
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Lead Developer to design the Apollo Archive Web platform.
- Translate business goals and user needs into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Ensure designs are responsive and accessible across devices.
- Provide design assets and specifications for developers to implement.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback.
Create a cohesive and visually appealing design system, including:
- Homepage
- Search and filter functionality
- User profile interfaces
- Admin dashboards and analytics pages
- Artist dashboard for artwork management
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Design Tools:
- Proficiency in Figma (preferred), Adobe XD, or Sketch for wireframing and prototyping.
UI/UX Principles:
- Strong understanding of user-centered design and interaction design principles.
- Ability to create intuitive and visually appealing layouts.
Responsive Design:
- Experience designing for both mobile and desktop platforms.
Collaboration Tools:
- Ability to work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
- Familiarity with tools like ClickUp and Slack or similar platforms for communication and task management.
Attention to Detail:
- A portfolio showcasing strong visual design, typography, and layout skills.
Communication:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for presenting ideas and progress.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing interfaces for archives, databases, or similar platforms.
- Passion for art, design, and creative projects of all kinds.
- Familiarity with basic coding principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to improve collaboration with developers is suggested, but not required.
