Job Overview
We are in search of a highly skilled and meticulous Controller to become a pivotal member of our innovative Finance team. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this essential leadership role will manage corporate accounting functions, ensuring the precision and efficiency of our financial operations. Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close procedures, guaranteeing timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Supervise daily accounting activities, encompassing accounts payable, cash receipts, and journal entries.
- Oversee the preparation of general ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Enhance and refine accounting protocols and business systems to ensure precise and efficient reporting.
- Implement and supervise internal controls, serving as the SOX liaison between the accounting team and auditors.
- Facilitate support for financial audits, SOX compliance assessments, and state examinations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, representing the accounting department in various projects.
- Lead a team of both onshore and offshore accounting professionals.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses.
- Assist the VP of Finance, CFO, and COO with various financial initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
- In-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP and recent experience in a SOX-compliant environment.
- Proficient in analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Practical experience with financial and accounting systems such as AMB or Loan Vision (3-4 years required).
- Familiarity with Concur and FloQast is advantageous.
- Knowledge of ASC 842 and financial lending regulations is a bonus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Outstanding analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team with a collaborative, positive, and results-driven approach.
- High integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Qualifications

- 5-7 years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience.
