The Section newly houses a unit on health-related social needs policy and 1115 waiver administration for the Department. This unit coordinates across offices and with other agencies to lead the Department’s strategy on health-related social needs like housing and nutrition. The Health Policy Office (HPO) is responsible for the administration and performance of Medicaid State Plan services and programs. The services and programs include both physical health and behavioral health and span the managed care continuum from fee-for-service to fully capitated risk programs. Staff within HPO are responsible for stakeholder relations, policy development and implementation, grant oversight, contract management and performance, program administration and overall Medicaid program performance. HPO plays an instrumental role in achieving HCPF's mission to improve access to cost-effective, quality health care services for Coloradans.This position can work fully remotely from anywhere in the State of Colorado. **Please note - equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our downtown Denver office, on the first day of employment.**
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS HRSN UNIT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: Provide support to the Health Program Office and the Stakeholder Engagement Unit with a focus on the 1115 waiver and health-related social needs initiatives. Support all aspects of the Health-Related Social Needs and Waiver Unit including, but not limited to, scheduling meetings; reviewing and editing documents for both internal and external distribution; and managing staff resources. Use SharePoint, Google email and calendar and slides, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Access in preparing correspondence, reports, charts, manuals, and other materials. Responsible for proofreading, formatting, printing, and copying final versions as directed and maintaining Office procedures.Conduct other duties including: Agenda development and logistics; Meeting minutes; Clearance tracking;Responding to email and written inquiries from various stakeholders;Photocopying; Word processing; Budget monitoring; Data entry; Preparation of presentation materials; Web publishing; Supply ordering; Data entry; Responding to telephone and written inquiries from State agencies, clients, providers, and the public.
