JOB OVERVIEW:
Peachtree Group, Hospitality Management is seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Director of Sales to lead and enhance sales strategies within our West Coast Region. This leadership role involves strategic oversight of property-based Directors of Sales (DOS) and their performance to drive revenue growth and maximize the potential of the assigned portfolio of hotels. The RDS plays a critical role in mentoring and collaborating with all sales leaders in partnership with the General Manager’s to achieve exceptional results.
This is a remote position requiring up to 75% travel. Candidates must reside in California or within the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone to ensure optimal engagement and accessibility to the properties within the region.
As a Regional Director, of Sales you will be instrumental in shaping the sales approach for a diverse portfolio of brands, including Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Choice, and Wyndham. You will collaborate closely with the VP of Sales and Regional Team members—including sales, revenue, operations, marketing, and digital—to craft and execute innovative strategies that align with market dynamics. Your efforts will drive revenue across multiple streams, including corporate transient, group, extended stay, banquets and catering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies tailored to the unique market dynamics and customer segments in your region.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to property-based sales teams to achieve measured revenue targets and enhance performance.
- Coach and mentor sales team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitors' activities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training new sales leaders to ensure a high-performing team.
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to exceed set financial, activity, and sales tool utilization goals.
- Foster collaboration with hotel management teams to translate ideas and strategies into actionable plans, aligning all efforts toward revenue growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- Provide support for responding to RFPs, customer support, and other duties as requested by onsite sales leaders and senior leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate partners, and industry influencers to drive business and revenue.
- Take the lead in crafting and presenting quarterly and annual business and marketing plans, along with annual budgets, to senior management during the financial review process.
- Be prepared to travel up to 75% of the time within your region and occasionally beyond.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in a regional capacity.
- 2+ years in a multi-unit capacity overseeing extended stay, select-service, and full-service hotel properties or equivalent.
- Having experience across multiple brands, particularly Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott, is essential for success in this role.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate clear and compelling sales goals.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong sense of accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership qualities, with a focus on fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite, Delphi and Cvent
- Resides centrally in a metro area close to a major hub airport.
Additional Information
This role involves corporate reporting responsibilities and may require direct interaction with executive leadership and other Peachtree Group stakeholders. It is crucial that the Regional Director of Sales resides in a central location near a major hub airport to facilitate regional travel.
