The firm’s Knowledge Management, Research & Information Services (KRIS) department’s mission is to deliver more value to clients by putting the essential expertise and experience of Wilson Sonsini attorneys, along with strategically sourced legal and business research and information, at the fingertips of each attorney in the firm.
We are looking for an entry-level professional to join our KRIS team to support all administrative aspects of the department’s operations. The preferred office location for the individual in this role is Palo Alto or San Francisco but will also consider a candidate based in any of our US offices and we will also consider candidates who want a hybrid or remote position. Specifically, the KM, Research & Information Services Assistant will:
- Collect and enter details of pending corporate deals – high tech start-up financings, emerging market company offerings and mergers and acquisitions – in multiple databases
- Regularly contact attorneys and paralegals to determine when deals are closed
- Create/edit PowerPoint presentations
- Publish KM documents to the firm’s Document Management System and track published KM materials
- Schedule meetings, calls and arrange for conference rooms
- Draft and distribute monthly newsletters within WSGR summarizing deals done by the firm’s clients
- Test and provide feedback on KRIS tools and new technologies
- Assist with reference material intake and routing
- Respond to routine vendor billing and invoicing questions
- Assist with a diverse set of ad-hoc projects as they arise
- Strong Excel skills and experience with all Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and project planning skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:
San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $24.52 – $33.17 per hour
Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $22.07 – $29.85 per hour
Salt Lake City and all other locations: $19.61 – $26.54 per hour
The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
