Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our partners by providing administrative support and assisting with indirect patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, telehealth visits, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, but laid back environment.

Duties

Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records and referrals.
Assist with patient surgery intake processes.
Facilitate communication between patients and our medical partners to enhance patient service and care pre and post surgery.
Coordinate with pharmacy services as needed.
Assist in coding diagnoses using ICD coding for billing purposes.
Act as a liaison between Blue Ocean and our partners - rectify issues, support clinical needs, promptly schedule appointments and surgery.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Experience in clinics or an ambulatory surgery center is preferred.
Proficiency in EHR systems and understanding of patient care protocols and telehealth visits.
Ability to perform intake procedures efficiently while demonstrating compassion towards patients.
Experience working in urology and/or interventional radiology.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and our partners.

This position is fully remote and candidate must be available to work 8a - 5p pacific standard time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.50 - $25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
